Comments (10)You are all welcome for the pictures. Come back to that website anytime. peren.all LOL You made me laugh at the snake skin. When I saw it in the garden I thought What the Heck ...... The talent and artistic eye some of these gardeners have, makes me in awe. One guy said my thoughts out loud. "These are so beautiful, I want to go home, bulldoze my garden and give up". popmama Thanks so much. It is easy to forget that there are all types of climates and gardens. Green and brown. :) Ken, I don't know, but I'll ask a few people. Beth, thanks. I thought about waiting until January to post, but I got too excited to share. Thanks again for all the comments....See MoreHosta Green 2019 ......
Comments (25)its a fast grower but don't give it full sun. more like part shade. the glossy wax will burn off too fast. also if it gets part shade the leaves will be larger and the mound be large once it leaps. texture is similar to invincible as far as damage by slugs and hail. color is lighter green than irish luck and more gloss. large leaves will be floppy but inner leaves will have more intense ruffles than irish luck. it maybe triploid acounting for its vigor but lack of pod set. but so is sum and substance. the blooms are large and significant. fragrance is slighter than invincible....See MoreHosta Best Of 2019

Comments (19)I am a huge fan of the very large/giants, don't think I'll ever have enough of them! They are gloriously peaceful and always rewarding to visit, when they're happy. But sometimes I have planted them too close to one another, so that when they start to reach maturity they overlap and the wonderful forms get a little obscured. What do you all do when that happens? Dig up whole clumps and re-site them? Just leave them? (Do a better job of planning in the future? - my personal weakness - ) I'm thinking this is the year to do a lot of moving around. I planted based on expectations due to the size of the leaves in the pots when I got the plants. Mistake... Plus, some areas that were once more sunny are now more shady due to trees growing up, so they need redesign anyway, and I could move some of my lovelies over there. My goal would be to do this *without* dividing; I want that mature, or almost mature, look to return as soon as possible. Just wondering how you all handle this. How close to the eyes do you dare cut - how much do you dare trim the root system, in early spring - and still get good performance?...See Moresunnywood4bChazyNY
