I'm not a fan of any of those options...for various reasons. Mostly because the style/scale as well as the tone doesn't look like it would compliment the bed.....although without links hard to know. The Bernhardt nightstands in your pic from Haverty's are 40 W x30 H x21 D. That is why they don't look dwarfed by the bed. Do you have room to do something like the pic Penny posted? Basically a simple open rectangle with a sturdy leg? Another thing I'd consider is taking a look at kids' dressers/desks. I love the style of your furniture. I often thought of a chest instead of a nightstand but I would miss having the convenience of the nightstand with my alarm clock amid other things. Depends on if that is comfortable for you, to me there is nothing wrong with the look, in fact I really like it. I would love to have that set of furniture! I like the bedspread as well but you could lighten that up if you wanted to brighten things up.

Paint the wall behind your bed a favorite color. Replace the tables and lamps with wider, larger tables and chunkier lamps. Buy a large area rug that fits under the bed and almost fills the whole room. I suggest you start with the rug so that you can use colors from the rug in the rest of the room. Buy a bed skirt and a bedspread with pillow shams. Coordinate the color with the colors in your new rug. Install an attractive (white and contemporary) ceiling fan with a light in the center of the room. Buy natural Roman shades for your windows. I like ones that go from the bottom up so that you have privacy in your room but you can still get light and air. Put vertical paintings on either side of the bed behind the lamps. The desk can stay or you can replace it with a dresser.

I think sconces may be even more interesting than table lamps because it’ll fill some of the empty space. This is a large bedroom with so much empty wall space. Art above the bed would also help w that. Lamps would work too but I think sconces would be even better
