Beautiful table and I think fabric chairs are a perfect choice. With a fabric chair you usually have an exposed leg. You will never match the wood on the chair leg exactly so you just have to pay attention to the style and shade. This is a rustic table so do NOT choose a leg that is formal and polished. Something a bit more rustic and black or gray. There are many to choose from. From there choose a fabric that coordinates with the table surroundings.

You can change almost anything in a rental, as long as you restore it to the ugly it was. So yes, you CAN paint walls, and yes, you can take down a hideous light, and hang something else until you leave, and you can hang it at the right height too. Make sure the table is centered in that tight space. Lower the chandelier to 30" to 34" over table top. Use a bench(s) with chairs. This arrangement won't cost a lot...add cushions or pillows to benches (buy lift tops for additional storage). Buying a pair of chairs on overstock isn't costly.
