Hosta garden pictures from GLR Hosta Tailgate 2019 - NCHS
Comments (10)You are all welcome for the pictures. Come back to that website anytime. peren.all LOL You made me laugh at the snake skin. When I saw it in the garden I thought What the Heck ...... The talent and artistic eye some of these gardeners have, makes me in awe. One guy said my thoughts out loud. "These are so beautiful, I want to go home, bulldoze my garden and give up". popmama Thanks so much. It is easy to forget that there are all types of climates and gardens. Green and brown. :) Ken, I don't know, but I'll ask a few people. Beth, thanks. I thought about waiting until January to post, but I got too excited to share. Thanks again for all the comments....See MoreHosta G 2019 ....
Comments (69)Mbug, I really like that Golden Prayer. It would be a good edger plant I think. Your Guardian Angel is definitely an award winner! So large, so perfect! newhostalady, I I love that little Geisha in a pot! Also, Golden Meadows is awesome zkathy, your Gosen Sunproof is a beauty. In that first picture it looks like it just rained on the leaves. I also like the Gold Edger, it would also make a good edger. oursteelers, my heart breaks for you. Those (explicative) slugs!!! They ate my on of my So Sweets into this state......it is infuriating, isn’t it? Will you move it?...See MoreHosta Minis 2019
Comments (33)Peren.all, your minis are over-achievers! My goodness what are you feeding those things? When I first started with hostas, I knew nothing of minis. My introduction to them (and now a bona fide obsession) started with a gift of several from a forum member. I blame him! But like peren.all, I say the more the merrier. They are easy to squeeze in. Well mine are! I think peren.all's may not be squeezed so easily. Here's a minibowl I made last year definitely was inspired by someone else here. Venusta, Blonde Elf, and Bill's Dress Blue along with their friend a dwarf Hinoki cypress. Minis are so cute I can't even stand it! I need more....See MoreHosta Companions 2019
Comments (31)I have much of the same, except I think I need some rodgersia. Unfortunately, they need more time/better pics to show here. One thing I haven't seen here yet is Salvia. Fell in love with them in California. Found a couple hardy varieties or I just plant them as annuals. They look good blooming as the Hostas are succombing to the fall weather. Salvia nutans with Liberty and Clematis 'Niobe' in the back. Salvia 'Black and Blue' I usually find a place to throw a Pineapple Sage nearby. I'm also pretty fond of Japanese Maples and Irises and Peonies and Heuchera and Daylillies and Brunnera and Astilbe ... Elephant Ears, Begonias, Coleus...See Moreoursteelers 8B PNW
