Comments (8)Hey DC well, i'm totally new to the forums and to the idea of trading. please know i did read your post and didn't choose *not* to follow it. i'm just always different and a problem. laughs. i wish i could follow your post better, but honestly i don't have much to give and am unsure of what some of your abbreviations meant. and don't worry, saying no to me is easy. you don't have to explain yourself...."not interested" works just fine and no hard feelings from me. i'm a newbie dealing in carnivorous plants, just got my first few sundews 2 weeks ago and such a novice i barely know what i'm doing, but so far they haven't died. i've read everything i can find and seemingly doing everything right as i've not killed any yet and from what i've read they can die rather quickly. but i'm really good at trying to do things right. i saw you deal in a LOT of carnivorous plants and would love to have seedlings, semi-mature plants from your collection. seeds would be great, but i'm so new i'd prolly be better off w/ a semi-established plant as i have had horrific results in the past w/ seedlings from the easiest plants to grow both from 1" seedlings and from seed. is there anything we can work out? i don't have much to trade, but i am willing to pay for some plants and shipping if you'd be willing to sell a few. i am most interested in bog condition sundews that don't mind living in damp environments because of how i am potting them. i have freeze dried bloodworms to give them now (they arrived today) but unsure how to feed a sundew w/o dew production and also not sure if i should put bloodworms down the throat of the pitcher plants or not. any advice you have is appreciated, and i'd love to get a few plants from you. thanks. Comments (18)aloha~ thats a nice list of seeds =) i dont have any figs, and actually i am looking for similar things, fruit and nuts. i have some sweet red cherry seeds, i am starting these off in the fridge, and i got one thats sprouting already when i checked in on them. not sure you would want this, but this is one of the only seeds i have that i think you might be interested in.. ooo plus i have a few river grape seeds, some wild grapes that i didnt start them all. i actually just got some hazel nuts to start (psyched!) but i already got them all going in the fridge too. i have considered trying to find some RAW nuts...and start them off...well experimental but i am thinking this could be a good way to get some nuts going with the actual nuts. but if you are interested in other trades you can look at my list if theres anything you want. there were a few things on your list that i would like. or if you are offering a SASBE i would gladly send one your way for some seeds. Comments (9)I'm sorry Sue. I thought you meant that you wanted the link to the review page, D'OH. There is a reason I turned off my email. There were several instances of inappropriate emails, two cyber stocking and then many many requests for free seeds. So I turned off my email. I am willing to leave it on only for a short time to do some trades and then off it goes again. 99% of you are all the most wonderful people, but for some reason, I am a 1% magnet :)...See MoreNEW: 4th Annual Rare/Unusual/Named Variety Seed Exchange
Comments (122)Hi there all- Yep Ann- I posted back on the 20th that I had received your envelope- thanks again for the very nice selection sent in! I received a few more envelopes today- Roflol, Clay Lady, Kliddle, and Nan6161! Whew- so many many great seeds you all have sent in! I am using a laundry basket with an alpha-accordion file for the general swap- and individual pocket manila folders for each member- and I am already running out of room with only 13 member envelopes out of 38 members (so far) sent in! That IS a lot of seeds!- OK- a lot of paper too but hey- Shilohyn - how ever many or few you send in is GREAT! The mix is wonderful too. They are sure to be appreciated by those who receive them! I hope I have been answering questions as they appear on the board here- But some of the entries are being "squished" so that I can not read them- It must be time to start a new update thread- but I think I will wait till Sunday if I can. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail if I missed your important question- Thanks- Julie...See Moresocalgal_gw Zone USDA 10b Sunset 24
