So pretty! I think I'd consider just leaving it as is. Let the bold wallpaper be the art. I think a grouping of mirrors may compete with the beautiful mirror over the sink. This seems to be a space where perhaps less is more, as the existing elements already make the room feel lush.

Will you have a window covering?

I always have wallpaper in my bathrooms. The one in my master bathroom, from Schumacher’s Silk Road, book is similar to yours. You could do something like this one (gold on frame) or Asian or landscape. You can’t go wrong as long as you keep it light and have some gold in the frame.

We don’t and probably won’t have a window covering as the room is quite high, and we put some frosting on the bottom to ensure privacy. We actually had our neighbours look from their upper room and side room and you can’t see a thing thankfully! Wanted to maximize natural light in the room. Hmmm gold painting could be interesting...but I do like the look of the wallpaper and struggle to find anything that would work with it.

I forgot to tell you what I had on the wall….a vintage folding screen with white cranes, almost like this one.

I really, really like the Matisse! It’s interesting without being matchy-matchy. Also, despite having done your due diligence on whether anyone can see into the bathroom, I think you really need a window treatment. The whole room looks exposed and unfinished without one.

you're right Marci, I didn't notice it until I posted the photo. What kind of window covering would you do? It doesn't help with that ugly bulkhead above it. The wallpaper person said not to cover the bulkhead with paper.

I would definitely hang some art. The wallpaper is lovely but I find a whole wall of it without anything on it too much. Your mirror above the sink complements the wallpaper and I think art would as well. I agree with those who suggested a window covering. A nice but simple blind would work well. You did a great job on the room.

I love wallpapered bathrooms. The soffit needs wallpaper as well, otherwise it lowers the appearance of the ceiling and calls attention to itself.

I would leave that wall empty. If you decide to put something there, definitely no mirrors as you don’t want mirrors facing each other. I really like the “fleur de tole” Judy suggested but I would hang it on the wall over the toilet. And definitely add a pretty window treatment like a Roman shade.

I’ll check out that Ballard Design floral art. Love them, we got our entryway mirror from them. I think the responses reflect what I’ve been struggling with, the mirror is very ornate and the floral wallpaper is beautiful, but it’s a lot going on. I like the artwork above the toilet idea, we have artwork above the guest bath room toilet.

Thanks for the feedback on the blinds...I’ll get something simple. I’m disappointed about the soffit..I also suggested it to the wallpaper people but they felt it should feel like an extension of the ceiling rather than the walls. I felt 50/50 about it.

Anyway the wallpaper people can come back and finish the job? You never want to extend the ceiling down; you want to raise it up! Definitely should have been wallpapered and I think they just didn’t want to do the extra work so they convinced you otherwise! If the walls had been painted the soffit would be the same color as the walls, not the ceiling. It’s not the end of the world, but I think it’ll make a big difference if you can correct it.

My husband said the same. I’ll have them come back! We still have wallpaper left.

Awesome! And if you post an update pic when it’s all finished please close the toilet lid first lol! That’s my pet peeve haha :)

I would leave it alone. You have a beautiful wallpaper and an ornate mirror. Sometimes you just have to stop gilding the lily. It looks lovely as is (once the soffit is wallpapered).

What pretty wallpaper! Do you have enough to do the entire boxed in section, bottom and side facing room, that is above window?

I would not do mirrors. I would live with as is for awhile. Then if you decided to add something, a medium size piece of art.

I would add window covering, whether or not neighbors can see inside. It will make guests uncomfortable, IMO. Especially at night. Even a pretty, loosely woven fabric that let's light in and you can still see out, but gives peace of mind. Something like this that I used in our master bath. It's a French fabric I purchased online and had made locally. I did not do all of the window, but it covers more than 1/2.
