October, 2019 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (17)That's probably a term for it, but I was a very bad girl. I tried to find the toddler quilt I had started, but couldn't. It isn't even like I have that much sewing stuff. So in my scraps from an elderly lady who gave up sewing were 2.5" strips in heart patterns. After Valentine's day, I bought some fabric on sale so I would have enough. I decided to start working on the strip quilt. Now I have a strip long enough for a twin quilt. I need to cut it into sections. Then it hit me, the toddler quilt pieces were on my sewing table, two feet away, but under a pile of odds and ends. So now I have another UFO. Just so I don't have a giant pile on the sewing table, I'll piece the strip quilt before tackling the toddler quilt. Maybe I should take some time and clean off the sewing table..........See More12th Annual Secret Santa Swap 2019
Comments (481)Back online. I hope to participate in the 2020 version of the Secret Santa swap, if it's happening. Meanwhile, I'm also back to running a swap that I've hosted for about a decade. As for the Japanese "White" Cherry, so far I've heard mostly about people getting red boat-shaped beefsteaks. I got those on a couple of plants. And, I also got a round white cherry on another plant. Hopefully more plants next year from 2019 and 2020 seed, in an attempt to match the Japanese White Cherry of 2019....See MoreDecember, 2019 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (3)No lists here either! I am not doing any Christmas sewing this month. I will do the BOM and then clean up the room. I did not get that done last week. I am feeling a bit stressed out, ( actually some days a lot stressed out) and am not able to get in much time at the machine. DH is still doing therapy twice a week, is still not able to drive, which means I am Mrs. Uber. It isn't that hard to do, ( I keep telling myself), but it does mean that my days are dictated by his schedule. And some weeks, there is an appt. or event every day. Anyway, this too shall pass! But I, too, am thinking about goals or hopes for next year. A couple of techniques I have never done. Will post that in January. Theresa...See MoreHosta A 2019 ......
