I love IMC and I think Fantasia is beautiful. They are both very unique. I also love red plumeria, they are some of my very favorite. However, in no way could I ever afford to play for one of these. Even at 89 their not in my budget. That being said, I totally get wanting to be the first to own it. More power to you if you want it and can afford to buy it. I only hope the lucky owner will proudly share pictures of their first blooms. In the meantime, I'm going to sit back and enjoy watching the bidding while looking for some plumeria on clearance. PlyGem sells many different kinds of vinyl, vinyl clad and aluminum windows because it is the result of a NY private equity company, CI Capital Partners, taking over many different struggling window companies in 2004. They bought Nortek, MW Windows, CertainTeed Windows, Patriot Windows, Great Lakes Windows and Alenco Windows. Typical of this kind of leveraged buyout, costs were slashed by combining operations, closing facilities, eliminating about half of the work force and amassing a lot of debt. So, when you link to an all vinyl Pro Series Double-Hung Classic Double-Hung window once made by NW Windows, that's all I know about the window. These windows are sold primarily to builders so it is virtually impossible, even for an architect, to find out much about them. The fact that you don't know what kind of mullions are used means the builder has not been very forthcoming with you about the design of the house. It's time to get more information from your builder and ask him to let you participate more in the design. For instance, all window and door mullions should be drawn on the elevations and those drawings should be used by the builder, the local supplier, and the owner or an independent representative of the owner (like me) to check the order. I've never checked a window and door order that was entirely correct. I love that moment of silence when I tell a builder a sliding door opens the wrong way. Good luck.

I figured it would be the retread-narrative issue...it worked my nerves a fair bit, definitely (although I have to admit I've never seen Fern Gully--now that I read the synopsis I'd say I definitely agree. Wow.) Maybe it's just my wish to rationalize that made me able to see how the retreads were reborn by the particular plot structure, with the interaction of actual hard science (represented by Sigourney Weaver, one of my favorite actors -- gotta give him credit for putting an older woman in a position of rational authority rather than a man--means a lot to me as I enter menopause) rather than fairies, and a multinational/multiplanetary corporation that's above the law. The story that's most cited so far in reviews I've read is Dances with Wolves, and I can really agree on that one as well, with small twists. Despite the retreadness, I found myself thinking that Cameron is simply, undeniably, a brilliant guy and I wanted to thank him for doing what he did. Every aspect of the world is so completely thought out, and the technology so significant that I decided that criticizing the dramaturgy would be meanspirited, ungenerous, would be demanding too much of just one person (that's just me, and I'm realizing my opinions are colored by nearing 50 rather than being an insistent young critic as I was earlier). Of course Cameron is arrogant, etc. but he has *inarguably* moved film ahead drastically by his passionate imagination.
