I'm grateful for having family and friends to enjoy their company.

I am grateful for Friends! We rode to downtown today, to pay our house taxes, but unlike what their website said, the county building was CLOSED. Had a super nice ride, in 69 degree weather. Tomorrow a different friend joins me for Lunch, and then we will go ride around the lake... or...

I am grateful for not having to do anything today while everyone else is rushing about. Celebrating Christmas in Jan. has its perks. I may go out and drive around looking at Christmas lights tonight. Also grateful for yesterday when I reluctantly got out of my cozy bed to take an early morning riding lesson. My 3 classmates were kids. But we got the special treat of riding bareback. Awesome. Never thought I would ever get to do that at my age. I have the best instructor ever who continues to raise the bar for me encouraging me to try new things.

My hodge podge table makes me grateful for family. I keep having to add seats and place settings. It's now completely mismatched. But it's almost a full table. I bet we'll need more by morning. And that's great too.

I'm grateful that the weather is going to cooperate and that it won't be snowing when we leave on our trip on Thursday. We have two summits to go over and both can be quite treacherous when it's snowing.

I'm grateful for a warm house, the nice meal that will be on the table later, good health and my family, small as it is these days.

I'm grateful that I am almost done for the day. The gifts are out and the stockings are stuffed. The dishwasher needs empty, the table needs set and the ham taken care of and then I am done for the night.

It is really foggy here. Santa is for sure going to need Rudolph's nose tonight.

To be honest, I was grateful that I hit both the bakery and the grocery store this morning when neither of them had any line up at all. I figured if I went between the after breakfast rush and the after lunch rush I would be ok and I was.

I was also grateful that I had a fun run along the river with two of my running buddies. We came along another group that we didn't know and ran with them for awhile, kibbitzing until we went different ways. That was fun

I’m grateful for my good parking karma yesterday when I had to go to four different grocery stores to get everything I needed. I started early hoping to beat the crowds and I was able to find reasonable parking everywhere I went. Thank you, Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini.

I’m grateful that for the first time in 12 years that I didn’t have to cook for Christmas. My DD took on the challenge this year and did a great job!

that's my priority too. I'm also grateful that my sister lives close to me and I'll be spending a few hours tomorrow with her, her dh and their youngest son. no big dinner planned - just sandwiches, snacks and pie (pie from Village Inn). no one has to cook, do a lot of work or clean up. We can eat and visit... then visit and have pie! She emailed me today that her Christmas stuff was out (of storage area) but not up yet... I emailed back that if it isn't 'up' it would be so much easier to put it all away again! and not to put things 'up' for me. but maybe her nativity set will be 'up' tomorrow.

I'm grateful for friends and neighbors who look out for me all the year long and are especially thoughtful at Christmas. Too many baked goods and candy right now. lol But I wouldn't change a thing. Bring it on!

Grateful to be out of the mud. This is the first winter I haven't dreaded in my memory. I haven't had to put on rubber boots since moving here.

I'm grateful this new house has utility bills that are affordable! Winter used to be hard on the pocket book. I'm also grateful we purchased new vehicles. Shopping for cars, dealing with salesmen, always a story to tell from these trips. Seven hours in one dealership, only to have the window sticker scraped off with a razor blade...ripping the window film/tint. Now we have to drive 1.5 hours back to the dealership, to have new window film put on. I'm grateful the guy admitted to doing the damage and it's being done "free".

We did have to add another seat. Today? I'm grateful for a Christmas brunch that is one for the books. My second favorite Christmas. Only beaten out by the birth of my sister. Mom had a great day and everyone liked the food. Probably our last together with her; she's really ill.

I'm grateful that my daughter called from Atlanta area, and we had a great chat.

Also for a visit with brother and sister in law last week.

Also to my heavenly parent for love and guidance through the closing in on 91 years of my life, and reasonably good health throughout.
