Several displays in the Pierce - du Pont home cleverly used air plants as part of the holiday decorations. This little tillandsia was hanging from a small copper frame on one of the pine trees.

Our first trip to Thailand was during Christmas. The majority of Thai people are Buddhist and don't celebrate Christmas, but there were Christmas trees and other displays set up all over Bangkok. Part of it is for the Western tourists and part of it is because the Thais like the decorations as a visual aesthetic. I think as Annie shares her photos of Longwood Gardens, I'll share pics of Thai Christmas trees and/or displays.

I always think Thai lettering is itself a work of art.

My gift that I received yesterday from the restaurant supply store was wrapped. I couldn't wait for Christmas day, plus I might use it for my Christmas dinner!

You're right, Annie. Like other Asian writing systems, each symbol is like a little work of art.
