HELP!!!! Toilet rocking and leaking around base.
Comments (3)If the flange is broken, it needs to be replaced. If the flange sits too high it can cause rocking, and that's somethign that needs to be remedied. If the floor is not level, it can cause rocking, that can be taken care of with shims. Most home centers sell small packets of plastic shims in the toilet section just for this purpose. You might want to look as a waxless gasket like Fuidmaster instead of using another wax ring. Even with toilet movement, a waxless ring will usually maintain a seal. The waxless gasket can also be reused if the toilet needs to be pulled. Before investing in a new toilet, find out why you're having these problems. Is it the flange, the floor, or the toilet....See MoreLeak? Need Help
Comments (3)The facuet is "frost-proof" that has froze and burst inside wall or below ground or floor. Now the question is WHERE DID HUNDREDS of GALLONS of water go. The hose must be removed during freezing weather or the facuet is pron to bursting. Leaving the hose attached AND ON almost guarintees the facuet will freeze and burst....See Moretoilet still leaking at floor seal
Comments (11)This is eerily similar to a problem I had at my house :-) I did not have a cracked flange; however the toilet would NOT stop leaking. I tried an extra big wax seal; two wax seals...finally I scraped all that crap up, tossed it, and bought one of those gaskets that does NOT use wax. I believe my toilet was leaking due to an uneven floor. The gaskets they sell these days seal tightly to your toilet, and then empty into your sewer well below the level of the floor, completely bypassing all problems due to flanges, uneven floors, etc. I'd repair the flange so you have a good solid connection, they sell kits for that too, easy as pie, and then use a gasket kit without wax. Of course I'm a hardcore DIY'er, you should just call a plumber if you're in over your head!...See MoreReplaced all the parts but toilet still leaks....I need help.

The bolt hole on one one side became slightly oblonged with a small liip on one end.I also removed the flapper assy and inspected that also . looked ok on mounting surface. I added clear siicone on gaskets that mounted to bottome of tank for flapper assy and bolt gaskets. let sit to dry and no ore leaks !!! thanks for your help.I should have looked closer when replacing parts but didnt think the bolt holes would would make a difference but they do !!...See Morewestes Zone 9b California SF Bay
