If you want to ensure you get 100% crabgrass coverage by July, follow your current plan. If you want to get rid of crabgrass do this... 1. Water deeply and infrequently. You're almost there with the 5-day flood plan. Can you stretch that to 14 days this time of year and gradually work it up to 7 days when the temps get into the 90s? 2. Mulch mow at the mower's highest setting. 3. Fertilize once in the late spring and twice in the fall. 4. WAIT UNTIL FALL to reseed. Crabgrass seed only germinates in the spring and only when it lands on moist soil which remains moist for several days. If you withhold water and allow the soil surface to dry out completely, then you have a shot a not having any crabgrass. But you need a dense turf. Fescue has that problem of becoming less dense over time unless you continually reseed in the fall. So it was not your tenant's fault that you have crabgrass in his lawn.

I would not stay with IE6 google has just put out info it will no longer support IE6 and many other websites have gone along with them on that it is just too hard for them to continue to support so many versions, go to IE7 or 8 or as mentioned above go with firefox also but you still need to move away from Ie6 on your pc because it is very insecure so even if you do not use it you need to update it. I use firefox only unless I have to do a windows update that is the only time I use IE but I do still keep it updated. OOps. Yes it was Microsoft Office and I removed it. I also have automated updates checked and I've been getting and installing them--except for IE-7 which I have blocked, also thanks to instructions on this forum. Now the mssg. I'm getting is from Microsoft Internet Explorer: "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed" when I tried their "contact us" link because I've registered twice (NBC.com) and when I click the link from their email confirmation I still can't log on. Sorry that sentence got so long, but trying to I'm trying to explain what I get and what I'm trying to do. Thanks for your help. Sandy

yes I hear that a lot about that forum, that is not an official forum it is as it says just a group set up as support, the free version of course does not get provided support as the paid version does, there is an official AVG forum for the paid version. However there are AVG support areas on several of the tech forums, I know there is one over on Castlecops and I believe on Gladiator too or they did have one there. this is the link to the one at Castlecops Grisoft AVG I looked around at all the ones I have been on today and have not seen anything unusual mentioned for AVG 7.5 other than some update problems going out.
