You have a dark wall to the right of the cabinet to the right of the stove and a dark wall to the left of the countertop left of the refrigerator.

Left of the stove, would be a good place to hang a trivet or two.

Left of the fridge could be a good place to add metal kitchen wall art.

I would get a large colorful glass or ceramic fruit bow in yellow, red or orange and then gte a few other accessories in the color of the fruit bowl.

I’m with Zalco ... how about picking up on the orange in the cushions of your kitchen stools? Le Creuset has some beautiful orange items. A fabulous tangerine Kitchenaid mixer would be jaw-dropping! How about a skinny stripe Chilewich mat in orange? These would be bold choices but, against that paint, would look fabulous, I think. Great kitchen!

What is the wood item near island - a different style of stool? What about an earthier color drawn from nearby upholstery? for chalk paint, etc...

btaylor already said use a color like orange that you'd like.... bit muted I'd think to please the earthy iron ore - but bright enough to look fresh with white cabinets... this slight Spice type color?

HI -- Maybe get the advice of a stager or an Interior designer or... look on Houzz for dark kitchens and see what comes up . Art is always a good idea , and some green plants . What color is your favorite outfit . Do bigger items but less . Copper and gold are the metals right now and that would be beautiful and look stunning with the dark color . How brave are you !! Good job !

Everdebz -- at the very end of the island with the trey on it... it's a cabinet my husband made that holds our trash can.

I really like those red stools. Right now we are just using chairs from my dining room table. Actual bar stools are on my wish list!

backless, armless bar stools are very unconformable for prolonged sitting. They also encourage the person to be slumped over the counter which curves the back and exacerbates back problems, even for children.

Love it, and love the idea of adding green plants or bright pops of color! I think you ought to paint out that stairway to the basement though. By leaving it the light color, you are effectively emphasizing that passageway—it is trying to steal the scene from your gorgeous kitchen.
