Steps for painting new construction cabinets
Comments (1)I am not painting the cabinets myself but this is the way they are doing it in our house. They wanted me to paint the kitchen. The cabinet installer will come and hang all the cabinets. Then, the guy that is doing our finish on the cabinets will come in last. I assume he will tape off around my walls b/c he is going to spray them....See MoreAppropriate steps for painting new construction?

Comments (4)Yea, the reason we don't spray the walls is because of 2 things. First, they need to be backrolled. This helps with sheen uniformity and the walls will be very difficult to touch up if they were not rolled. Turns out that the painter the GC hired cuts in better than I ever have. (She's now my housekeeper.) EDIT - I am painting my basement. It's not a basement for living in, but for storage, and utilities, and looking at overhead pipes and ductwork. Not a big deal to get to it when I get to it (I've done some). Or, never....See More- 4 years ago
