I am completing a master bath remodel. I was going for French provincial but it didn’t pan out that way. My question is, I’m putting brushed nickel faucets and same for shower. My cabinets are like and off white/ivory. I want to put oil bronze color cabinet hardware and the same for my towel ring. Oil rubbed bronze was a better fit but cuz of the hard water I chose brush nickel. Would it look fine to put oil rubbed bronze color knobs and towel ring or should I stay with the bridges nickel. My lighting is antique white. Help!!

Post a picture for better responses. I did two in my bathroom, but mine has different colors/materials. Chrome and brushed nickel.

That’s my concern. The website my builder sent us to only has polished chrome and no polished nickel options. I liked the polished nickel because it has gold undertones. I know I’m overthinking all of this. I’ve only ever lived in a spec home or builder plan and this is a true custom build for me to agonize over every tiny detail. I appreciate the input! Design is not my expertise!

What finish will your fixtures be? The shower head and faucets? If satin nickel, I'd do the same finish on hardware since I don't see any other black in the room. But I like coherency.

I don't think your cabinet hardware requires a backplate, it's possible it might not even fit on the frame of the doors without being too large. What color is the linen closet? I would recommend a more simple solution for your hardware as you see below. IMO the lights between the mirrors could use an update also. They were a bit too period in style even 7 years ago. I would look for a simpler solution. I might even just mirror across the wall and place the sconces on the mirror. I would consider larger mirrors with more minimal dark frames. Or here is the mirror across the wall with the sconces in front of the mirror.

This is my bathroom colors. Cabinet doors have black glazing. Should I got black knobs and cup pulls Matt black, oil rubbed bronze or brushed nickel. Didn’t wanna bring attn to brushed nickel.

While some do get compulsive over everything matching, I feel you can use different finishes in different groupings, if it looks good to YOU.

Example; a shower, I'd consider that a different grouping than what's on your vanity.

Not the best example, but in the photo below, I used ORB for wall sconces, the mirror frame is painted to match the ORB. I considered that to be 'a grouping.'

The sink faucet is polished nickel. It can stand on its own.

The cabinet pulls and hinges are brushed pewter. Another grouping.

For conversation's sake, my wife's makeup mirror on top of the toilet cabinet? Polished chrome.

Can't see the shower (except for the reflection in the mirror), it's in the back right corner...but polished chrome lives in there. Two chrome shower supply valves, one for the rainhead on the ceiling, the other for the chrome handheld on the wall.

Looks fine to me, so it is fine!
