How to Wrap Totems as gifts or for sales
Comments (7)What a great idea for gift wrapping, Susie! I love all your totems and your dining room too. Isn't it fun to be able to say where you got everything from and how much it cost? You appear to have a houseful of wonderful 2nd hand treasures. Thanks for sharing, Hose! he-he Calamity_j, your totems are very unusual. I like that little "king mouse!" And what in the dickens were the pieces from in the other totem? I'm dying to find out!...See MoreWhat was/is the best garden-related gift this year?
Comments (24)The best gift I received was free! I finally found my way to somebody's list, and I got tons of catalogs: Territorial and Thompson and Morgan, of course, but also Raintree, Seeds of Change Certified Organic seeds, Growers Supply (greenhouses), Pinetree Garden Seeds (color photos of flowers and veg on the cover are arranged in the rainbow spectrum, pretty), Select Seeds heirloom treasures, Van Bourgondien. And more that I haven't gotten to yet. Isn't January great? Keep them in the bathroom and learn all the botanical names!...See MoreDo you wrap all your gifts in the same paper?
Comments (16)Growing up our Christmas tree was always colored lights and a hodge podge of ornaments usually with our names (sister and I) on them. We'd get ornaments every year. Since there was so much going on with the tree we pretty much used whatever wrapping papers we liked. There were always tons to pick from and honestly it all looked good. Now I decorate a small tree with my ornaments the same as when I was growing up and it still makes me smile. Very homey and reminds me of my childhood. BUT, the big tree we have (did our first one last year) since there were only a few ornament colors I picked wrapping paper to match because honestly it would've bugged me. This year we changed the blue ornaments to red so it's red, white, silver, cream and I bought different paper to coordinate. Years from now when we finally have kids I'm sure all this matchy, matchy perfection stuff might go out the window!...See Moredo you wrap gifts funny??
Comments (9)I've made fabric gift bags that get reused every year. On the other hand Dave likes to take the leftover shreds of any old wrapping paper and wraps things with a million little pieces of paper. If the gift is small he sometimes does the wrap it with shreds. Puts it into another box (like cereal, any cardboard) and then wraps it like crazy again. Drives everyone nuts unwrapping it....See Morephoggie
