Another example of art at it's best, scratchboard painting. Modern day, of course. I love this that hangs on my living room wall. It is a print of the original by artist Sharon Wald.

I got out on my bike yesterday, and totally enjoyed it.

Simple things really do amuse me. Hubby and I would get a kick out of the loader picking up the leaves at the curb. LOL

With the snow it's a mess, and a little tractor with brushes on the front go along the street at the curb and pushes them into a pile. Then the loader comes, the bucket opens at the bottom (way cool!) and he picks them up and dumps them in the truck.

Other areas have a truck with a vacuum but we've always had the loader/truck team.

BOTH of these pieces are by the same artist. Each was a 1st piece....and they never painted or sculpted again!

This is a drawing/painting, owned by me, done by a friend who is an engineer by trade but an amazing artist in her own right.

Spanish shawl on display in Acapulco. Not sure of it's age, but it dates back at least to the 1800's.

Igmd_gaz, I'm also a fan of scratchboard art. There is very little room for error when using that medium.
