I'm getting my Berolina HT!
Comments (4)Good reliable yellow HT you're getting there, sara. Just remember it is not a big lush showy golden-yellow like Gina Lollabrigida or Henry Fonda. It is a more subdued mild yellow and not always the largest bloom in the garden. It is also (so far at least--mine is still "new") quite bs-resistant, fragrant, and seems to have a good re-bloom rate. A bit taller than most of my other HTs, but they tend to be the shorter ones anyway. Overall, a charming yellow. Do let us know how she does in your garden. Comments (12)Let's see--they came from different nurseries. Munstead Wood and Scepter'd Isle were bareroots from David Austin. Berlina, Pomponella Fairy Tale, and Little Sunset were bareroot from Palatine. Wedgewood Rose was bareroot from Regan Nursery--at least I ordered it originally from there, but I'm kinda remembering I had to change that--so I might have ended up ordering it from DA or some other place. But something is wrong with that list--I have a distinct memory of planting a couple potted ones also--from Chamblees. Hmmm--I also ordered several replacement roses (the drought last summer got a couple of them), so maybe it was the replacement ones that were own root potted--they aren't shown in the pics here. Yes, all roses I received this year were good-sized and very healthy. And since we had a mild winter, there were no late thaw-freeze-thaw-freeze cycles to endure--that always sets roses back on their heels. And then we had lots of spring rain which the roses have loved. In fact, this may be the best blooming year ever for all of them. Kate...See MoreBerolina--getting bigger and bigger

Comments (24)My Florentina is growing and blooming like mad thinking I'd like to grow it as a shrub but right now the branches are a little limp they're kind of hanging and they're not going up the trellis yet so I have all kinds of little fences holding up the branches. No fragrance that I notice but again I have an old nose and I don't pick up many fragrances anymore but the flower color is a true red, so pretty....See Moresara_ann-z6bok
