Plumeria Lighting garden

What is wrong with my Plumeria???

This is my first Plumeria plant. I bought it from a local nursery and repot it to a 10" pot right away. I watched lots of repotting videos to Plumeria and found out that it is better to not repot it that deep because the stem might rot. When new leaves started growing (which was exciting for me) they all have wrinkles as shown in the pictures. I never took the Plumeria outside yet as it was getting cold when I bought it.

What did I do wrong or what is wrong with my Plumeria?

Hi Joan, I would check for spider mites. Look closely they are probably all around the curled leaf and then in and around the others.. The other leaves look green and healthy so i wouldn't worry to much. How is the watering going? Not to wet is it? Let it dry between watering... The buyer 3 in 1 Insecticide is a great product. Make sure you spray on a cloudy day or keep the tree from direct sun after spraying... All over tree. Under leaves too... Good luck!! Laura

I've used it but not on that frequency. Usually no more than 4-6 weeks. Most of it depending on weather conditions and a well hydrated plant which isn't always easy without daily watering.

What zone are you in? If your in a cooler USDA zone it could be that it's just going dormant. How often are you watering? Are you fertilizing at al It could be that the leaves are burnt from too much fertilizer. Hope that this helps. I know other growers will be here to help you. I agree with the recommended neem or similar treatment - I would guess you have thrips or spider mite type critters - leaf deformation of that type is typical of sucking insect damage so that would be where I would start as well. Keep out of sun after treatment for at least a day or they will scorch.
