I've tried everything! I still cant make my plant grow pitchers!!
Comments (32)Good to know! I almost gave it a buzz cut this morning!!! It looks so good in our bathroom (almost like a spider plant) but as I see the little pitchers growing, I wondered if the stems were not wasting the plant's energy to grow more. I often see pictures of pitcher plants with very few stem (only stems are the ones with pitchers attached) so I thought maybe this was the secret. I was ready to cut 3 off which would have broken the spell of the room. If it doesn't bother my plant I will let it be! :) Can you tell me which fertilizer you use? You mentioned a fertilizer with bat guano? You have a Source? A link? I don't trust the ones in store here (limited options)....See MoreYellowing leaves & stems I've tried......
Comments (15)I walked across the street and spoke w/ farmer there and he said our soil has more issues with clay, I use a compost that supposed to help breakdown the clay. I got a soil tester the one with the capsules and it read now 7-6ph now I've just added frets so I tested an area a few feet away@6.since 2days of frost and rain the leaves r starting to curl inwards around the edges. I think I've done what I can so far but looking into citrus fert they had low N except tree & shrubs, couldn't find high N alone unless it was a grass fert so I went with citrus avacodo @ 15-4-6 add that to 5-1-1 fish emulsion I already used a month & a half ago and another the other day. So I pretty sure I need to wait to spring and hope for a lot of new leave growth. I thank everyone for their help. W/small section of side yard we grow tomatoes but I turned the soil added potting soil and compost to the already clay area but they've done well mant times what else can I do? The clay seems to wash down and form another clay layer. I've added minerals to the soil as well!,,...See Morethink my PB tried to trick us
Comments (9)Call an attorney now. This guy is attempting to defraud you. Don't worry about hurting his feelings. He is showing you he doesn't care about yours or what he was contracted to do. The pump MUST be ready to go BEFORE plastering so it can circulate ad filter the water or the plaster finish used will not cure correctly. He is also being grossly negligent. The only acceptable solution, IHMO, is to remove the existing incorrect finish, install the filter equipment, re bond coat and re-plaster with the correct finish and have the pool refilled at his expense. Don't let him plaster over the incorrect finish. You risk delamination if it's not done correctly and the ability to plaster over in 15 years (no 3rd coats allowed). Then, the lighting should be done and final cleanup to your satisfaction per the terms of the contract in order for him to be eligible to receive the final payment. Otherwise, he has no motivation to complete the job. He'll already have your money. Scott...See MorePlease help!! I've tried and tried but no definitive answer.
Comments (12)Laurie, might be a good idea to include the scientific name for the plant as well. Would you be referring to some form of Cissus? Many times a "common" name might be used for more than one type of plant or might not be used at all in some areas of the country/world. (For a non-plant example ... some folks may be unfamiliar with the creature known in some areas as a "puma", since in their area it might be commonly called a 1 Puma 2 ******** 3 Couguar 4 Panther 5 Panthere 6 Painter 7 Catamount 8 WIld Cat 9 American Lion 10 California Lion 11 Silver Lion 12 Mountain Devil 13 Mountain Lion 14 Mountain Demon 15 Mountain Tiger 16 Mountain Cat 17 Purple Panther 18 Tiger 19 Tyger 20 Lion 21 Lyon 22 Deer Tiger 23 Deer-killer 24 Pampas-cat 25 Mexican Lion 26 Indian Devil 27 Red Tiger 28 Brazilian Cat 29 Bender 30 Brown Tiger 31 Poltroon Tiger 32 Sneak-cat 33 Tyger of America 34 Mountain Screamer 35 Rocky Mountain Lion 36 Black Puma 37 King-cat 38 Varmint 39 American Panther 40 Great Panther 41.
