New bulbs appearing above ground. Very neglected what should I do with

years ago we planted some Canna bulbs that we had digging out of my mom's garden when she sold her house, and every year we've gotten a fair number of plants. One year there was only about one because it happened an exceptionally hard winter I guess. This year there were about 3-4 nice stalks and I noticed all these new bulbs now that are above ground. I have never moved them since they were originally planted. Would it be possible for me just to break off the bulbs that you can see in the photo and leave the rest undisturbed? Or should I dig up everything and hope that they successfully grow again next year if I dry them and remember to plant them?
In South Jersey, I think it's zone 7. It is southern exposure.
