Mindstein - this is a trivia-based game but it has an element of chance that means the most knowledgeable person doesn't always win. We've played with eight people.

My in-laws enjoy a version of the dice game Farkle so we often play that when we get together. We play a modified version, requiring 500 points to get in the game and we play to a high score of 5,000 instead of 10,000 as is commonly done. This is a very old folk game, so rules vary by location it seems. It's an easy and fast paced game that allows for visiting and verbal interaction while playing.

Phase 10 and Quiddler are our current favorite social games-both cheap, easy to learn amd can play while talking and drinking. My teen plays them with friends, too.

I learned to play what you call "Farkle" in Vancouver, except that my friends there called in "Crapola". We scored 1500 for a six die straight instead of just 1000.

I haven't played games in a long time, but I used to play Bridge regularly (when I was at university), and I would play Pinochle if there were just two or three of us. As a child I used to play dominoes and canasta with my parents and extended family. My parents liked to play the "42" domino game. That was the game of choice in Texas, although I preferred Bridge.

Lol, Chispa!!! That game is hilarious. Sick and twisted, but hilarious! :)

Don't let the name Bridge scare you, as it does to most who haven't played it. If you can play Spades, you can easily play Bridge. Lot's of laughing and moaning!

Balderdash is a favorite. Hard to get through a game because everyone's laughing so hard.

We've had a lot of fun playing Poop Smoothie.

I like boggle since it is only 3 minutes a game and people can rotate in and out if they want. It’s a staple at our lake house.

I love both word ring and Anomia. Both, I swear, have helped my aphasia tremendously.I also love Set.

I just bought One Night Ultimate Werewolf but have yet to play it. It's looks fun and different. Has anyone played?
