What Happened to Garden Web Forum Archives, Photos, clipped articles?
Comments (35)I agree, but Houzz would have had to have a separate server to retain all those posts. I guess it set a time limit and space limit on retained posts, so we lost a ton, but every now and then, I see some older posts pop up from someone's search. I think they did away with all the 90s and only kept those from the 2000s, because I've seen a few pop up from 2003 and 2005. Sadly, the early days were the best, when there were so many more members and so much great information....See Morewhat happens when you get tired of these forums?
Comments (12)Yes i do feel the same. Too many forums have dried -up that i use to like. I do not know about this Garden Web future. This forum is big,but well organized. I am interested in growing tree fruits, not tomato or garden stuff but i do grow garden stuff. tree fruits are more complecated so you need more knowledge about them.I have been active in forums since the seventies and my interest are sub-tropicals only.(persimmon, oranges, manderins, atemoya etc.) Finding a forum to suit me is not easy, stuff that i post is usely not of interested to many. There are many people on the different forums that are very dedicated, more so then me so, there are always good info from them for the future. Bob....See Morewhat happened to this forum?
Comments (25)I am still active on various of the gw forums like the kitchen table, and home decorating, I have checked in here regularly but there's very little action. I have started a few threads that I hoped would get some action in here. I wish you would try again tinfoil I love your stuff! I have problems with certain browsers when posting pictures but I get them to work usually. Down at the bottom of the page there's a FAQ link it has helpful instructions for the new features and how to post pictures. I have been doing a lot of of the adult coloring pages during the cooler months but am now working on getting the atrium plants looking good. I have some glass totems done and a few to finish. Here's a picture of a couple of my coloring and I might have a totem too....See MoreWhat happened to the Hosta Hybridizers Forum?
Comments (1)It appears that the forum software they are using is very old, and the server is likely using a newer version of the php software that isn't 100% compatible. Unfortunately with facebook taking all the traffic these outside forums are simply not seeing interest any longer. And it is unfortunate that some of the forums chose to keep their info locked away only for registered/logged in users so even the info gets lost, just like the info that is posted to facebook. :(...See More2ManyDiversions
