Piper and Poppy

So I was involuntarily gone from KT for months and thought I'd catch you up on my cat saga in addition to my wild day at the vet with Bernie. You may remember I had to euthanize my 13 year old cat Henry in the spring because of a cancerous tumor on his leg leaving me with just one cat(Bernie) after 40 years of having multiples. I was approved by some rescue groups but found them hard to deal with so I went to the humane society. There were 100's of cats to choose from but I picked a grey tiger, Anna(changed to Piper) We had a one on one time in a visiting room. In addition there was a sweet orange cat beside her in a cage. The HS called a few days later saying I could come get Anna(Piper) the next day and I asked if the orange girl was still there and they said she was. So I ended up adopting both. Piper is very sweet and affection and her story was she was in a hoarder house and was born March of 2018. Poppy is a declawed ginger who came from a domestic abuse situation. She lives in the basement where all the cat towers and litter boxes are but she's gradually coming upstairs spending half her time here. She goes nose to nose with the dogs but any sudden sounds send her scurrying, so who knows what her history was. Maybe she was abused as was her owner. Bernie likes them both so I lucked out. I wanted to send pics but I couldn't before so I'll try on the next post.
