Are these wall sconces in the wrong spot?
Comments (18)Hi, If the GC changed from ceiling fixtures to sconces, you should have a CHANGE ORDER and it should have been signed by you BEFORE the change was made. This is a CUSTOM home, right? In additon, you absolutely should have been consulted as to the position of these fixtures. Nip this kind of unilateral decision-making on your GC's part immediately. Tell him since you weren't consulted as to the position (as in an electrical walk-through)of these new sconces, he will need to move them at his expense. Don't pay him one red cent, or you are setting a dangerous precedence for him to make decision for you and then make you pay when they aren't the decisions you neccesarily would have made. We went through the same miserable things and it can get worse - believe me. . . . Good luck. Let us know how this one turns out....See MoreBetter sconce than this one for hall bathroom?
Comments (2)There are quite a few similar out there. A couple (the first one shows black, but comes in chrome): https://www.shadesoflight.com/products/industrial-triangle-shade-bath-light-2-light?color=Black&via=57e1331269702d78ae0000a7%2C57e1359569702d78ae000343 https://www.shadesoflight.com/products/volta-glass-vanity-light-2-light?color=Polished+Nickel+Clear Just for fun, because I love the schoolhouse globes. :D https://www.shadesoflight.com/products/schoolhouse-2-light-bath-light?via=57e1331269702d78ae0000a7%2C57e1359569702d78ae000343...See MoreNeed Candle Sconce suggestions
Comments (34)Measure out the space and that will give you an idea of the size you need to look for. If you are sold on the designer shoe holder than the 2 will have to compliment each other. Though I think if it were me, I'd find the wider buffet 1st as it is a larger more important piece before I made a decision on the shoe holder. As far as the diningroom. The fact is that you don't have much room so let's see if anything could work to make it both a dining and work space. Would the table work for you if you pushed the long side up against the half kitchen wall? You would have 2 seats on the other side and a chair on each end. Then on the stair side wall, wondering if a narrow table would fit on that wall for your computers....See Moresconce suggestions??
Comments (17)Sconces there, are not going to give you more room light, the fixtures you have can take a 60 watt bulb, two of those would be over 100 watts of light for example. but alas that is decorative lighting. add a touchier lamp to the right side of the sofa, and another lamp over by the wood cabinet behind the seating. perhaps even add a picture light over the art. If I was going to change these, i would go to a double sconce. https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/kelly-clarkson-home-attina-2-light-dimmable-candle-wall-light-w003492705.html?piid=767999103 https://www.build.com/kichler-52259/s1696904?uid=4002416#overview or go to one with a "reflector" https://www.build.com/capital-lighting-627711/s1501464?uid=3517035...See MoreCatherine Altenburger
