Did you ask permission to take a cutting from the restaurant owner or manager? If too many people feel the inclination to swipe a cutting or two, that plant won't be beautiful very long, will it? It's personal property. Simple little actions like that are the reason why businesses don't feel like they can have such displays in their public areas.

Hi Carol23_gw and Floral_uk . Thanks for taking the time to id my plant . With both suggestions I did a google search and at first I thought neither were the correct answer . Ulmaria seemed way too tall to fit the plant I grow here and Palmata seemed the bloom was pink and mine is not. However , upon further research I believe Floral_uk that you are correct . It is a palmata but Palmata ' Elegans' which is a white bloom. YAY ! I finally have an id on this plant. I have been growing for some 6 or 7 years. Meadowsweet ........who kniew ?

i know your new.. and i hope you come back often .. and just as a hint for future posts.. pix in front of a bright window are not the best ... though in this case.. it didnt matter ... pot them up asap ... in fact ... i dont know why those long pieces were rooted .. you can probably cut that long stalk into about 8 pieces and root them up ... very fast.. in media.. check out the link below ... and note .. the best info is found using the proper botanical name... rather than the name of some dive bar in key largo.. lol .. the lucky bamboo... crikey ... lol in general.. if you break off a large piece.. its very hard to root big pieces.. so you research to find out how small you need to go.. to make it easier for the plant to root ... not many plants can move enough water up a very long stem to save the leaves above.. if it has no roots ... this bamboo is probably one of the few exceptions ... ken https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Dracaena+braunii+propagation&t=ffcm&iax=videos&ia=videos
