Hi Rob,

Your Haworthia, a bit of spelling help if I may (Haworthiopsis attenuata, formerly known as Haworthia attenuata). How much light are you giving it, is it in direct sun? I'd suspect too much sun. Try semi-shade for a while & see if it darkens.

FYI: that's not a variegate, that's just how Haworthia ridges look. Variegated Haws have variegated flesh, it's not the white ridges.

Other than bleached out, it looks healthy to me, assuming it's all firm to the touch as it looks. Brown tips on a Haw aren't anything to worry abt, could be from dry heat perhaps? I'd ignore it.

Is that potting pure pumice or mix beneath it? Have you checked the roots recently?

Those attenuata can look like that when variegated. They are normally a very dark green that never gets that lightly colored regardless on light levels

The cactus, lots of light or lack of nitrogen can yellow them up like that.

Thanks much on the attenuata, I was quite wonding. I have it under 1 strip of flourexcents with the rest of my Haws, hope its enough.

The oxygona was for the first part of summer was in 6-8 hours of direct sunlight, then I had the good sense to move it to 1-2 hours of direct light. Does it need no direct light? If it needs nitrogen how do I give it that next summer? I already feed a low nitrogen not no nitrogen to all my plants watered down.

You could have H. attenuata ‘Blonde’.

It’s a variegated version of attenuata, but doesn’t really have that stereotypical variegated look. It’s just light green the color reminds me of iceberg lettuce.

To add about the yellowing of cactus. It’s some type of stress that does it, could be too much sun, bad mix, and a grower once told me not enough water. I notice with my cactus it’s either a cactus that has been sitting in old mix/pot for too long and needs to be repotted. The main reason my cactus turn yellow is exposure to a lot of sun as you can see below. I think you see what side gets the most sun.

I wonder if the cold can turn some cactus yellow also. I know Euphorbia will get yellow from cold temps, but they’re a whole different thing.

Just give it a little osmocote crf for nitrogen.

Could I do it now? Doesn't seem right. Or should I apply in the spring?
