Using a Breville compact oven
Comments (4)I have the Smart Oven by Breville - the same as mustangs - she is the Person I credit for influencing me to buy it ! :~) Basically, if it fits in the Breville - it gets cooked in the Breville. I did buy their Pizza pans and make delicious homemade pizza often. I bake pasta dishes - using Le Creuset pans, I bake 1/2 hams -- I buy them by whether they will fit inside the oven-- I make all my baked squashes - acorn, spaghetti, sweet potatoes, etc, -- We love crispy smashed potatoes--- what else???? sometimes I bake fish or salmon --- the normal toaster oven foods, including bagels, toast, breakfast muffins--- like I said - if it fits, I use the Breville. I have an expensive (to me) Dacor oven - hate it! If the Breville broke - I would replace it immediately! It is my go to oven!...See MoreAre You Kidding Me? - Breville Toaster Oven
Comments (0)First of all I'm grateful the DH bought the warranty on this at $269.99 less than 2 years ago this shouldn't be. I was cooking a casserole dish today on bake function and all of a sudden I hear a beep and look and it say's "E05" on the display. In the manual it says remove power supply and call customer service. Yes this thing has been a great appliance but I can't seem to find out by searching online exactly what the problem is. Anyone else have a problem with this thing?...See MoreConv Oven + Speed Oven + Toaster -- Enough?
Comments (16)I have the same setup for over 5 years and I am happy with it. Background: I moved from a house that only has a range and an otr microwave. Hated that otr microwave as it didn't sucks anything and the filter was a pain to clean. Kitchen was so so small and could not have more than one person in the cooking area and very limited counter space. When I bought the current house I want the new kitchen to have clean counter top at most if not all time (no small appliances on counter). I have enough wall cabinet space to accommodate a speed oven, convection oven, and a cooktop. We use the mw function of the speed oven daily, I also use it for most day to day baking needs as we are a small family of 3 and it hit up much faster than the big convection oven. MW function was the only request my DH has in the kitchen, so that was a must for us. I have a small toaster oven that we put away in cabinet when we don't use it (we use it at most once a wk, sometime maybe once a month). I did want to get a combi steam but I don't have enough space to add to what I already have. So I gave up that to grant DH's wish. If I have the space, I would have want to add that to my current setup as nice to have but what I have definitely meets my need. HTH....See MoreProblem With Keeping Breville Toaster Oven Crumb Tray Clean
Comments (9)It's only when using the toaster function that the spills happen. I make garlic toast often with olive oil on the bread and that's mostly where the spills are coming from, sometimes from butter, etc. When I bake I use the baking tray that came with the toaster. I've looked it up about not using the foil, evidently a fire can easily start with using foil in the crumb tray, didn't know it back when I did it with the other one. I'll have to look for the item that you are referring to, maifleur. Do Silpat items take high temps? I've never used any of them....See More
