The house I sold last year. These are babies. Mom is to the left, on top of the wall, exiting.. She knocked the pot off, the next time, breaking it into a million pieces.... :0)

lgmd, that looks like part of a Rainbow Scarab dung beetle, minus the head and legs.

Rhizo, thanks! No head, well no wonder I couldn't find it, although I did think somewhere in the back of my mind, Scarab Beetle. When I searched for 'copper and green beetle', all it wanted to show me was Japanese beetle.

Sorry about that out of focus bar in the first pic. That is a part of our deck railing. Picture was taken thru the kitchen window and thru the deck railing as I had only a few seconds to snap the shot and no time to spend on setting up the photo.

Bears in the neighborhood? No thanks. They can stay, I'll go somewhere else.

Uptown - we have PA black bears in our area and they are very shiny, DH refers to them as the black holes.

This is the closest I have to a bear photo - not very close at all. I've seen bears in the wild, but my main goal was to get away from them, and I never even considered trying to photograph them. Mothers with cubs are especially dangerous.

This guy was wandering around our daughter's neighborhood. Not exactly something you want to encounter on your morning walk. He was tranquilized and returned to the mountains.
