After looking through the cast I'm (happily) surprised - a full half are out of their 20's (6 in their 30's and 4 over 40). No offense to 20-somethings but it's nice to see more than one or two with a little experience under their belts (or bikinis).

I had some F**** the other night- the lawn and veggies (well some) were white and the flowers did just fine-- grr go figure! anyway, here is some of the surviving flowers this week-- getting it in just under the wire aren't I? puppy likes to help- here with those fall blooming crocus and what she really wanted lol here with next years sweet william Sunflowers finally going now that the f**** is wilting them! and misc out of the five beds that surround the house oh and I can't leave out the plants I DID bring in and THEIR helper

Thank you so much for the heads up....If I had missed it, I would not be a happy camper...Sunday night should be interesting....The only 2 things I watch is Survivor and Desperate Housewives and to have them both on the same night would be great.....Just so they don't mess up and put them against each other.....

if it is editing with randy, it's certainly fine editing at that. he is miserable and disrespectful and the things he says makes my skin crawl. just look at his "last" comments tonight. jerk till the end. the thing i wish was that sugar hadn't laughed. she should have contained herself as if it was all a big shock. building a fire without a match does in fact take skill. it's not as easy as you think. i just love bob, a nerdy mcgyver type. great season this year. has kept my interest all along. i have loved all the blindsided evictions and tonight was just icing on the cake. maryanne

Fertilization is going to depend on your soil. If you're growing in containers, especially if you're using a good soiless container mix, fertilizer is a must... you just can't get anything without it. If you are in ground, it depends on the type of soil, the amount of irrigation and rain, and such factors as available nutrients and bio-activity of the soil life. To get optimum growth, your plants need enough of all the necessary nutrients at a pace to match their needs. That means the nutrients need to be in an available form that the plants can use. If your soil can provide them, then you're all set. However, many nutrients in soil are in unavailable forms, or soil life is not active enough to process unavailable nutrients into usable forms. It's a balancing act though. Too many available nutrients, the plants will 'burn'. Too few, and they just won't thrive at their potential. So, knowing when plants call for nutrients helps to know when to assist the process with fertilizer. In general, they need abundant nutrients when getting established; after a rain which can leach nutrients away; at flowering and fruit set; and during later fruit sets. Different nutrients are needed at all these stages, and it's up to the grower to have an idea of their soil, and to learn what nutrients a plant uses for different growth, and how much.

I can't believe they have him or SANDRA. Doesnt matter to me that they aren't competing. I truly don't know if I will be able to watch with Sandra on the show and that pisses me off! I'll absolutely give it a try, maybe record it and fast forward thru any part with her.

Why do you dislike Sandra so much? Didn't she win twice? I have picked out my favorites and least favorites from reading their bios. A lot of them certainly think they are "hot", ha ha. I will probably change my opinions once I see them live, but for know I love the 4th grade teacher. He seems like a good person. No to the TWO personal injury lawyers, yuck.

I, too, have an extreme aversion to Sandra. I simply do not understand how she won that show twice. I'm really debating whether or not I want to watch this season because of her, even though I know she is only an "advisor" and not a participant.

I don't have a problem with Boston Rob.

I am excited to see it. I would prefer not to see either of them again! They were not my favorites for sure.

I don't mind Boston Rob but also have an aversion to Sandra (how did she win twice??). I'll faithfully watch though, and hope this advisorship or mentoring is way in the background, let the players play!

Sandra was a pushy low end broad. IMO Boston Rob....he's nice, liked his wife Amber. I really was DONE with BOTH of them tho.

Wow. I hope this works!

Count me as another one who can't stand Sandra! Boston Rob was never my favorite either but he doesn't bother me like she does. How she won twice I'll never understand!

I am another who can't stand Sandra, not that fond of Boston Rob either. I will give it a try but if they spend a lot of camera time on those two, then I will not be watching.
