Hi, Trace's ID is correct as ZZ plant, I too suspect it's overwatered, I can't see what type of size of pot it's in. Am guessing it's in a large plastic pot, that's usually how they're sold. How often are you watering? I would suggest watering less often; also you might try to give it just a bit more light. I must disagree w/ Trace on this, pls. DO NOT fertilize it yet, that is bad advice. Fertilizer is not medicine or a cure-all & won't help ailing plants (even if dilute), once this greens up some more, then you can fertilize it. I suspect given some drier conditions & some time, it'll be just fine.

As with most of the epiphytic/'jungle' cacti, they are relatively easy. Good hanging plants; keep slightly moist in the growing season, and let it dry out more in the Winter. Should have a well-draining mix as with all cacti. Propagated easily by leaf cuttings in sandy soil.

Callisia fragrans - basket plant. Almost a weed but fun to grow. Teeny tiny flowers that are indeed fragrant. I usually took off lots of long vines in late October for compost. Here is how they are weeds (at least when it is warm).It has some color - not a lotEasy to see why it is weedy. It blooms when the conditions are right - I need to move it to more sun to get it to bud though. Here is a hover fly on some blooms a few years ago. Easy care plant but you will be up to your elbows in it if all goes smoothly.

Phoenix Rising, I have a couple of gingers in the ground that do come back each year. Not heavy bloomers though. Do they need more fertilizer? I attached a picture of one of them - the other is white but hasn't bloomed in years. Heruga, You could add a layer of sand on top of your soil to deter the mother gnats from laying eggs - thereby breaking the cycle of fungus gnats.
