I use the freebie one too. Works great for blogs and forums. The only time I ever used to pay for a storage site was back when I needed extra large background images for websites or very large images that I needed to show a lot of detail with. Photobucket limits the size of pictures to 1024 x 768, and also resizes and optimizes (lowers the image quality on large images) to allow the free image. This wasn't large enough or clear enough for those purposes plus something that size wipes out the allowable free bandwidth quickly if the page gets a lot of visitors.

All of my computers stay up 24/7 and connected to fios, as long as you have all your protection layers up and running all the time there is no difference from daytime and night time at all. I never turn off my pc's unless there is weather or I am going out of town. I do turn off my monitor at night. I am also behind a router with firewall so I have hardware and software firewalls. As I said I have used zone alarm pro, an older version, for years now on all my windows computers. I do not like the more recent versions because they are more bloated. Using an older version is ok it does it's job just fine. My scans run at about 3am when I know I will not be on the computer and it will have all the resources to run them. I have them set on different days of course. I run regular scans at a minimum of once a week but usually more often. Any other tasks I have set up in windows task scheduler. On my linux computer I have klam AV and Guarddog firewall, not that you really need any of that on a linux machine but since I also have windows machines that I send to and from it is more to protect my windows boxes. I always have spywareblaster on all my windows computers and usually have spywareguard also both by javacool. I now mostly use superantispyware on them, I have not used AdAware in ages, on occasion use Spybot S&D. NEVER use registry cleaners on any of my computers.

you do not need to buy AVAST you can keep the free version all you have to do is simply reregister it and they will send you a new code to insert in your current AVAST. The FICO algorithm models for the likelihood of delinquency within 24 months, so the factors going into that calculation correspond with the model value. The only way to improve credit score is to have credit activity. And installment credit is considered more favorable than revolving credit. Also impacting interest rates and loan approval is the ability to pay. Permanent employment is less risky than sub work, so you get a more risky loan for a higher rate. That only changes when you have a consigner who reduces the risk. My first solo car loan came with a 10% rate in the early 90's. Living debt free is great. However few people can afford a home with cash, at least where I live. Establishing credit with 7% interest on a $5,000 auto loan makes a lot more sense when you decide to buy a home with a 30 year amortized loan at a less favorable rate based on your lower credit score. Finally, there are several industry modifiers available with FICO, auto being one. So the version of your score the dealer pulls is different than the one you receive when you go online. And many lenders will have custom models that may, or may not, act as an overlay to FICO. They model for a number of factors including delinquency, bankruptcy and retention.
