Funny things kids say!
Comments (48)I read this on the internet the other day. A mom was having trouble potty training her soon to be 3 yo. son and they had made a quick stop at a Taco Bell for lunch when the mom detected an odor. She first checked her baby and it's diaper was fine so she asked the boy if he had had an accident and the boy said no. She continued to eat and kept smelling poop and asked him again if he had an accident and he again said no. She began to get angry as she did not have a change of clothes for him and asked again if he had an accident and the boy got up, pulled his pants down, pointed his butt at his mom, and said see, no poop, it's farts, it's just farts! Everyone in the place about fell off thier chairs laughing their heads off. Jamie...See MoreDo you have a funny inheritance memory?
Comments (23)What a variety of memories here.... Funeral blue, l love that! Yes, friend and I were flabbergasted, shocked, amazed--- take your pick from the thesaurus under "astounded." The backstory is even weirder. My father had a massive stroke at age 60 and never walked or spoke again. He lived nine years longer, seven at home with a live in male nurse and the last two in a nursing home. He always wanted his body to go to Emory medical school, where our family has many ties, as a cadaver in the anatomy lab. When making the arrangements after his death, the school told us they would cremate the body after they were finished with it for educational use and send the ashes back. I was the only one who actually wanted them so it was agreed they would come to me. But a year later the were FedExed to my brother by mistake. Said brother called me to let me know he was forwarding them, but had decided that he wanted to keep a portion of the ashes himself. For some reason that struck me as the oddest thing...to say there had been lifelong sibling rivalry between us would be a gross understatement, and I felt at the time that he was just making sure I did not get something that he didn't also have. And a year later he was also dead, very suddenly and unexpectedly, of a heart attack. And that's when I found the filed ashes in the ziplock bag. Too bad I didn't find them before I delivered the eulogy at his funeral.... talk about an ice breaker. We finally settled on a columbarium in a beautiful mountain garden for both my father's and brother's ashes. But none of the rest of the fam knows I still have my share!...See MoreRoses are funny things-Easy Going Rose
Comments (5)It would bloom a couple of flowers a year but no real flush and it didn't seem to grow. I kept it mostly because it was a rose my wife actually wanted, so it had sentimental qualities. It isn't huge yet, but when I transplanted it 2 months ago it was only about 18" tall and a single cane. Not sure if you can see in photo but it is currently covered in buds....See MoreWhat is this funny little thing?
Comments (10)Thank you! :) That picture is super nice! Beautiful color. The variegated senecio is even nicer.. Now I want that one too :) "I have a pot full of them" - did they grow new stems from roots or do you have multiple plants/cuttings in a single pot? Post a picture when you have time :) I read somewhere that they make more/bigger leaves when they are in shade. And they need water to grow foliage. "keep watering to a minimum and they will remain compact" - oh, it's sooo difficult to keep them dry! :) It arrived dry, I just watered it a couple of days ago and watched the top part almost double in size and make more leaves. Damn, this thing is FAST! I like it :) But looking at other pics I get what you mean.. tall skinny sausages.. I wonder - could they be forced to branch somehow?...See Moreritaweeda
