I think most people tire of having the same glassware, dishes, flatware and are often replacing them. I've always made such purchases based on liking the item well enough that I would never want to have to replace it. My flatware and dishes are just as old as my glassware. :-) But my dinner plates have been reduced to 6 now, so clearly they have not survived the 30+ years as well!! And since I rarely use more than 2 or 3 at a time, I don't plan on looking for replacements anytime soon. As far as the glasses, I remember first seeing them in a restaurant and deciding that was what I wanted in my kitchen. They are really are made to last! Rita, I'm blushing!!!! I love my kitchen, too! Rita and I are the resident "fanboys" for Glacier White Corian. It really is pretty much bullet-proof, and it LASTS!!! My kitchen counters were first installed in early 1985!!! I re-used them (and added a 5' ft new counter) 3 years ago. One cannot do this with just about any other material. It's a great value and a very high quality product. Don't allow any Big Box store employee or other idiot to tell you it's "low-end". It's NOT! In fact, it is used extensively in multi-million dollar, architect-designed custom houses in the UK and Europe.

Well, I decided to just suck it up and live with what I have and try to be as careful as possible. My entire project dragged on for soooo long and I had multiple issues with my GC so I just wanted the entire thing to be over and done with! Fortunately, I have not had any additional chipping, but I'm sure at some point I will. My biggest complaint other than chipping is that I've discovered that my light colored quartz is easily scuffed/scratched if I rub against the face of the countertops with a belt buckle or zipper. The scratches are easily removed, but it is annoying. I don't think I would do quartz if I had to do over again. I am so sorry for your experience. Your situation sounds awful! Good luck!

Curious - did your wrap/water make any changes to the slab? I just got soapstone installed in my kitchen redo and it had a chip. They came right out and took care of it with the crazy glue fix. They started with, "soapstone's going to chip", and I said that it was mine to chip, not theirs to chip, and they came right over and worked their magic. Yes, they need to fix! If Cambria doesn't give you any satisfaction, turn to their pages on Facebook and Twitter, and go after them. Believe me, it helps. They do not want bad publicity on those platforms. Good luck!
