I found a (new to me) Garden to visit
Comments (8)Since it was cloudy and cool I went early this morning. It is a nice short walk mostly wooded along a stream on the nature trail with the second half dry brush, sunny and a hill. Ground squirrels running around and Blackheaded Grosbeaks. Lots of benches and even couple of picnic tables. There is a playground nearby for the kids. The salvia garden had just a few in bloom. Ca fuschia was blooming also. I didn't check out the rare fruit tree area. I want to go back when the Clevelandii sage is blooming cuz there are tons of those. Oh I saw several callistemon citrinus 'little john' about 3 feet tall and 5 feet in diameter...thought I'd mention that since on this forum we've discussed the size it gets. It is a nice little hidden garden, take a lunch, but go early not a lot of parking with the playground and baseball field nearby....See Moreann_t you inspired me! Look what I found
Comments (10)I guess I didn't take a good pic. It's rock solid cast iron but just to confirm, I stuck it on my induction cooktop and it did get hot. Cast aluminum wouldn't have. Also it has rust spots. Aluminum doesn't rust. Finally, my magnets stick to it like glue so all indications are that it is cast iron It's a dark grey and the seasoning has been scrubbed off....See MoreI Done Found Me A MOP!!!!! lol
Comments (13)Have you ever used the kind of mop that you just put a old towel in? I have one of those. The top opens up and you slide a small towel in and clamp it down. Those are awesome - it is easy to wring out and you can wash the towels easily when you are done. I mostly use my swiffer now. I use microfiber clothes in the swiffer and ammonia/water on my vinyl floor. I just use a plain damp swiffer cloth on my wood if I need to mop something up on that....See MoreExplain twitter to me....
Comments (27)Yes, Linelle. That's the general idea. In terms of @ and #... @ is used in front of Twitter (or Instagram) usernames in your posts when you want the person to be alerted that you posted a message with their specific name. # is used when you want your Twitter (or Instagram) post to come up in a search. So... if you follow someone who's Twitter name is veganrules, and you post a tweet about enjoying one of their recipes, you would tweet something like: What a great weeknight recipe from @veganrules! Thank you for the inspiration! This tweet would go to veganrules, who would have the option of retweeting or replying to it for its accolades. And your other followers could click on the "@veganrules" link in your tweet and see veganrules' Twitter home page (if it's public). If you take the same tweet above and use a hashtag, it might look like this: What a great weeknight recipe from @veganrules! Thank you for the inspiration! #veganrecipes #vegandiet #veganinspiration Then, your tweet would accomplish everything above with the "@" and also would show up if anyone does a general search for "veganrecipes" "vegandiet" or "veganinspiration" The @ will bring your followers to the direct source. The hashtag will be part of any sort of general search using those search words. Here's more to explain (and these apply to Instagram, too): @ in Twitter Hashtags...See MoreDebby
