Moving hoyas cross-country

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to move from East Tennessee to the Dallas area and I'm in a quandary over how best to move my hoyas. They won't all fit in my CR-V (it's either dogs or hoyas, so dogs won out on that one). I'm contemplating either wrapping them well and including them in the POD I'm using to move all my stuff, or shipping them to myself.

The advantages of putting them in the POD is that there wouldn't be any additional cost, and I could pack them in boxes and then place the boxes such that they'd be "wedged in" by other stuff and be unlikely to tumble around. However, with the POD, my concern is that it would get too hot inside. It could be up to a week between when the POD is picked up and when it's delivered.

Shipping them to myself (via US Post, probably) would be expensive and they might get tumbled around a lot, but I don't think they'd be exposed to as much heat as they'd get in the POD.

Comments and advice greatly appreciated!
