Sunshine D is a dream as a full sun late summer perennial

As has often been the case it was FrozeBudd who first told me about this excellent plant.

The one shown below has been in this location for 4 or maybe 5 seasons.


The flower and the dark green foliage is always pristine ie no mildew or mold or insect marks.

It flowers for a long period and each flower looks like a little dahlia:


It is clearly quite hardy.


(It does spread (rhizome?) but one can easily pull out individual stems by hand. As well it can get tall but a Chelsea Chop in June will keep it a manageable height.)
