Like amy, we just let our glass mosaic tile "end" in the previous house's kitchen backsplash and the current house's master bath wall tile. The edge is caulked, but is slightly rough when you run your finder over it. I have a long horizontal edge behind the vanity sinks (about 7" above the sinks) and I have not found it difficult to keep clean or anything. I like the simpleness of just letting the glass tile end. In our installations, any edging would have been too fussy...

Hey there - I was going to suggest the schluter edging as well - we used it on a floor, and a friend has it in her kitchen and while I'm not like "WOW! Awesome edging!" I basically don't notice it. It comes in an awesome copper color that blends perfectly into slate... but that's probably not helpful to you! Also comes in brass-like and brushed stainless-like. We used a mix of tile behind the stove and beadboard everywhere else, so wood was already in the mix. That being said, we used .5" x 1" sticks to frame out the subway. I hated it at the time, but now, again, don't really notice it. May not be for everyone, but here's a pic so you can see what I'm talking about - we did buy the bullnose pieces for where the tiles are next to the painted (orange) wall - but needed a transition between the beadboard and tile - bullnose wouldn't have worked well and the tiles and beadboard are different thicknesses, so they didn't make a smooth transition on their own.

I have a white/gray stone tile and it's thicker than a typical subway tile. Tonight at Home Depot I put a Schluter brushed metal tile edge against it and was surprisingly pleased with the result. Even though it's a vintage (1920's) style kitchen, it works with some of the modern elements like the stainless steel fridge and lighting fixture.

Well anything is better than what we have. They’re old floral tiles lol. We’re doing blue pearl granite countertops. We have ugly laminate yellow right now. Eh trends come and go, but I really like the look. It’s also One of the only backsplash tiles my boyfriend agreed to I do like the stainless steel tile. We’re using a pro so I’m assuming they know that it has to be installed before the backsplash? I’ll bring it up I guess just in case? Hoping I can find something slightly less expensive since we have a budget.
