We installed a scone (from Period LIghting) at the top of a stairway---on the landing (short hall wall way) of our farmhouse. We are considering sconces above the mantel of a log house we are reconstructing.

Squirrel-You are so right, my heart does sing for them and I probably wont be as happy with "look alikes" and they are reasobably priced like you said for Horchow. Besides I think its meant to be, I got an email from Horchow about free shipping this weekend with their promo code!!!!Yehhhhh Someone is trying to tell me something....so ladies remember these lamps because when my bathroom is finished you will remember my post..... IMO both have very poor lighting and I hate edison bulbs anywhere there is a reason they faded away they cast a yellow glow on everything and provide really bad lighting. I never understand why people buy chandeleirs that light the ceiling either. BTW those 2 pieces do not work together one is quite heavy looking anf the other very light one is modern one is not. Please post a pic of your DR and you will get some good ideas
