Hi all, I am a novice gardener, when it comes to outdoor plants. My experience is mostly with orchids grown indoors.
I have had one fig tree for the past 10 years, purchased from Joe Morle. It is a Petit Negra and I like it very much.
I recently was introduced to a local nursery that has several fig varieties available.
I wanted to hear from growers especially those in my zone which fig might be good to try: Flanders, Sequoia, or Violette de Bordeaux.
I am unsure whether VdB is the same as Petite Negra from Joe Morle. Since I only have experience with PN I can’t compare.
I tasted Sequoia, which is a green fig that is sweet and the seeds have a very nice crunch. But I don’t know how it might grow 10 miles from the coast.
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and experience!
