Testing the durability on natural stone - what should I try?

We are remodeling two identical (small) full bathrooms. My husband insists on a honed travertine basketweave tile for the floor in one bathroom, and a dolomite patterned tile for the floor in the other. The shower/bathtub surround will all be porcelain and ceramic, so no concerns there.

I am concerned about using natural stone on the floors. I got a good sized sample of each, sealed them twice and did a test with both Scrubbing Bubbles (thinking of overspray) and toilet bowl cleaner. Left the Scrubbing Bubbles on each tile for 15 minutes and toilet bowl cleaner for 5 minutes. It appeared to have no effect on either tile. Or if it did, I couldn't see it.

Is there any other product that I should test the tiles with? I might try mascara and blush (as far as staining).
