Same soils,same culture,different foliage.

The larger is a 7 years in ground Manila. The smaller is a 3 years in ground Honey type Mango grown from seed. The Manila doesn't have the deeper green or shine to its foliage like the Honey has. I never read of Mango foliage differing. Now,I've seen two other Manila's around here..and they too had the duller foliage.

I water and fertilize both trees. I watch over both but, the Honey from the time it sprouted from a seed was always the better looker. Even the new foliage red is a deeper red on Honey.

Anybody else ever noticed a Mango differing by foliage or is just a marginal climate thing?
