Halloween is the second biggest retail holiday money generator. I haven't been shopping lately, but the dollar tree had some thanksgiving stuff out. I got a sign for the mail boxes.

Yes, I saw fall deco at the $ Tree by me. Actually I was looking for Xmas wrap so I wouldn't have to go up in the hot attic to get some. Not any around yet, had to go in that attic today. I have a large gift for one of my grands and wanted to wrap it and give it to her parents this week end, as we are going to their house. That way I won't have to mail it.

We won't see them for Thanksgiving and we will be in Florida in December.

I saw Halloween candy and cards at Rite Aid. Can they at least wait until the weather gets below 90?

I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and Christmas was going out!

I was in Costco this morning, but just briefly. I stuck to my list and just shopped the outer perimeter and not the seasonal and clothing things, books in the middle of the store. So I didn't see Halloween, but along the side that has the housewares, small appliances, bedding and bath there was an end display of Christmas ribbon. If they have Halloween and some Christmas, there could have been some Thanksgiving things around someplace that I missed ;0)

I'm still waiting to get some summer things done, I am no place close to looking towards holidays!

Today, Michaels had two aisles of Halloween. And one of Thanksgiving, and 2 of Christmas. How does a WHOLE aisle of Christmas ribbon ALL cost $10? Hundreds. . . all $10

JoAnn Fabrics started putting out Christmas two weeks ago, and I don't mean fabric.

Our Costco has the winter coats for kids on the tables and adult winter gloves on the shelves. I saw this the last time I was there, a few weeks ago.

Since school starts in a few days (8/12) I’m not surprised that the stores are marketing the Fall holidays. Parents shopping with their children for back to school are the perfect groups to sell to.

Craft stores, like Michaels, have to get Holiday merchandise on the floor early. There are still people who make craft items for gifts, Fall festivals and bazaars.

I saw costumes and candy (be the favorite house in the neighborhood sign) at BJ's yesterday.

If I bought candy to be the favorite house in the neighborhood this early, it'd never make it to Halloween!

Costco's costumes are the best. Well made. Sturdy. Detailed. Our grands still play with their Costco costumes, and they are still in excellent condition all these years later.

I received a Pier 1 catalog today with pumpkin stuff all through it. I am so against all this stuff when it’s in the 90’s and humid outside. I know the Christmas display merchants say it’s because of the ‘craft people’ but I don’t get it.

Halloween, Christmas, ha! the local discount grocery is advertising Cadbury EASTER Eggs at 8 for a dollar!

If merchandising had anything to do with weather there would never be items on the shelves of our stores here in Florida. It’s often near 90 and humid on Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
