Does anyone know what this might be on Blue Cadet?

It's powdery and hasn't seemed to damage the plant yet. I did dig it out just in case. I think I'll wash it off and see if I can save the hosta. This is a new one on me.

Does anyone know what is happening to my Blue Hawaii?
Comments (3)I've had a problem similar to that this year, but I grow in pots. If it's what I had, it behaves like southern blight, but no little orange balls. It effected the smaller eyes. I had it on three hosta. This is what I would do it it were mine: 1. I'd mix up a batch of hydrogen peroxide 10% with 90 percent water. 2. I would take some more photos 3. Clean out the nasties as best you can and spray the area close to the ground where the nasties are with the solution. 4. Send those pictures to Chris at Hallson's or email him to look at the photos you have posted.
