Tuesday's blooms in Kentucky
Comments (13)Celeste, i realized i had not answered tour question about Caribbean Whipped Cream. It is taller than 19", bit not a lot. I went out and measured with a yardstick or actually, I don't know how you measure height. To the top of the blooms the tallest 2 scapes are just under 24". The shortest one is 21". The flowers are about 7". I had questioned in a thread when I first realized what it was, but someone assured me that theirs was the same. And wonder of it All had 5 perfect blooms today, 1 tore in opening, but they were in all different directions and not a good picture. Debra, so far I have been pleased with several of my seedlings. The one you mentioned, edge,no eye, has several buds and some branching going on, so I will be watching that one. Thanks Nancy, Terry is a really pretty flower, it would be nice if it were just a little taller. Oops, I think I may have said that a few times already. But when the flower is so pretty I tend to make allowances....See MoreTuesday's blooms
Comments (8)TOTAL LOOK: Does well in a terrible spot. PERSIAN RUBY twins: This is a great plant. I feel that it surpasses RUBY SPIDER (one of its parents) VICTORIA GARDEN STARBRIGHT: relatively new, but I like the edge. LADIESS NIGHT OUT EMERALD STARBURST: This is a great plant in my yard. Still looking good at 8 pm ISABELLE ROSE: Great plant. BASS GIBSON: Great plant in my garden. (Seems to be a theme) JERRY HYATT still looking good after being in full sun all day. That is all for me today. David...See MoreTuesday blooms in the garden
Comments (11)mantis: I think Joshua Slocum can have seasons here when it starts off okay and then the blooms get smaller. So far this season it is looking good here. Nancy: I'm really happy with Tahiti Sweetie. I got it 3 years ago in spring along with several others from Judy. The first planting season it did not do much but then it did fine the second and now third season. With all the buds and scapes this year I think it will bloom through much of August....See MoreTuesday's Blooms from the usual suspects
Comments (8)I'm into yellow daylilies and Melvin's Yellow, although smaller you say, is a pretty color for early in your season. Almost all of my daylily pictures are taken in early to mid afternoon which in our current high heat can be challenging. 90 degrees and still holding color and substance for you is pretty good for a daylily............Maryl...See Moremantis__oh
