Prints left on luxury vinyl plank floors!!!!
Comments (478)MY SOLUTION! I just installed tabacco road coreluxe and had the same problem for a months. i decided to start research and this seems to be a big problem. We used to use Bona mop and cleaner. The mop head never looked dirty after we cleaned the floor and thought it was odd and we always would see our footprints just after we cleaned it. My wife was so aggrivated that she wanted to rip them out. One day after cleaning the floor she spilled a little water in the kitchen and wiped it up with a peper towel. The paper towel came up filthy. We decided to try another solution so we went with the swiffer wet jet with disposable mop heads. We cleand the floor once and the mop head was filthy so we decided that we would keep cleaning it and keep changing mop heads until we didnt see any dirt on them. It took about 3 runs. Sure enough after the floor dried we started walking on them NO MORE footprints. Sorry to tell you but the smudged footprints are just dirty floors. let me know if this helps?...See MoreHome Depot luxury vinyl planks -- I tested the tiles
Comments (19)Salonva, we have Coretec for a year now in our Florida home. You clean it with water and vinegar. For the most part I spray with just water. We have a dog. No scratches from him, pulling chairs on, dropping something hard etc. It never looks dirty because of the grading, knots etc. I think I look at things a bit differently. Does mine look the same as hard wood that I have up north? No. But it looks nice! Yes there are some fake looking products, but I don’t believe Coretec falls into that category. We chose a beachy/ driftwood look. We were lucky to see this is someone’s home. We were going in a whole other direction! In the kitchen....See MoreSmudges/footprints/paw prints all over luxury vinyl plank flooring
Comments (133)This photo is why I hate my Shaw laminate floors. My cleaner just cleaned the floor (with Shaw’s own brand of Hard Surfaces Floor Cleaner) and then walked on them with bare feet. Instant footprints. It’s 10x worse in person bc the natural light from windows enhances the smudges. I’m tired of never having clean-looking floors. I’m tired of always wearing socks in my house, and even sock feet leave endless smudges. I tried the Laminator Plus and it didn’t work. I’m thisclose to just saying F it and ripping them out. If you’ve replaced your floors, what have you had luck with? Engineered hardwood, those tiles that look like wood? I want something durable as I have dogs and this is my kitchen....See MoreLuxury Vinyl Planks in an upstairs bathroom?
Comments (22)The travertine I looked at looks like a gold or yellow tone. I continued searching for vinyl tiles, and I am now overwhelmed. The ONLY flooring place near us (1/2 hr away) was the one who suggested Coretec Pro Plus. She picked the colors with my oak wood. Originally she picked a medium dark brown vinyl plank. I thought that vinyl planks next to real wood planks (a cabinet) was a huge no-no. Maybe it was for a vinyl wood floor next to a real floor that was a no-no. The medium oak color is going to have to stay since he installed it today. He had already stained and finished it. Reading hundreds of Houzz posts about vinyl tiles/planks has not helped. Footprints, cloudy floors, scratches...oh my! Some people hate vinyl and others love it. They even have the exact same brand. I found one post with over 2200 responses. I will read it tomorrow. I can't find any color that I like except for the wood looking planks, but I think the tile looking vinyl would look better. I am out of time. I paid for the baseboard trim to be installed, but now we will have to install it ourselves. The contractor is almost finished so I will have to pay him with the trim uninstalled. Not his fault I couldn't find what I wanted. I just don't know what to choose. He told me ceramic tile was out which was what I wanted originally. I discovered Supercore today, so more research is needed. I am so sick of remodeling....See MoreAshleigh Coran
