Comments (12)GGG - I know what you mean. My DD said it is POURING in Buckhead and my son in Mid town said the same. I LOVE it . I stay out and work in the pouring down rain. I am used to running in it so it feels wonderful. Natal: I pointed out to DH what needs to come out and he agreed so that will be done this weekend. Opens up the tree and lets more sun to the bed and to the little bed also. All good !! Xuan...whay do they not have mulch ? I bet cause there are not so many trees. We have so many pines that they cut for pulp and then mulch. A waste I guess I don't know for sure. I love the unmulched beds of Holland. When we were living there I used to LOVE the "fat dirt" that was between the plants. They never ever use mulch. The long handled cultivator was used to weed the few weeds and then leave the rich black soil showing. I think you should definitely start a cottage business. Comments (2)Thanks, It has taken me 5 years to get it this way. The area where the pond it floods when we get hard rains. that is why we have the bridge there so we can get across to the shed when the water is flowing. We had to install a sub pump next to the pond with a drain pipe on the other side so that the water is pumped out over to the woods next to us....See MoreBefore and after our Spring blizzard (several pics)
Comments (10)Ah, you win some and you lose some. Especially here on the high plains where our altitude and lack of any large bodies of water to moderate temps often results in big temperature swings. Of course, the tulips and pansies will still do ok when the snow goes and we warm back up. The pears and redbuds will have their best color whacked. But, there's always next year!...See Morem ml
