I'm so impressed!
Comments (9)It's the first time I've tried anything that drastic. That's why I'm so thrilled that it worked for me. Hey pirate girl, glad I'm not alone in confiscating these awesome drinking cups. When hubby and I are someplace and I see people drinking the iced coffee I practically drool over wanting their cup. I can't wait for them to finish so I can ask for them. I sometimes get strange looks, but they oblige. The lids are awesome for supporting the cuttings in water. I rooted the schefflera in dirt. Didn't want to take the chance on it all rotting in water....See MoreI'm in love with Teas!
Comments (40)What I think I know of this rose called Puerto Rico comes from a couple of books and rose vendors. Mike Shoup, in Roses in the Southern Garden says they got their cuttings of this rose from Mrs. Cleo Barnwell of Louisiana who got it from Jose Marrero in Puerto Rico. These cuttings proved to be the same as a rose called "Maitland White," a found rose from Bermuda. He says it is probably an early hybrid tea introduced at the turn of the 20th century. Helpmefind lists Maitland White as a found Bermuda tea rose but doesn't identify it with Puerto Rico. Liz Duitt in The Organic Rose Garden calls it a tea but is more like a grandiflora. It gets about 6 feet high but only about 4 feet wide. Vintage is the only source I saw that calls it a hybrid musk, so maybe that is a typo. Ashdowns says it's called both an early ht and a tea, but either way it's a great rose. Countryside Roses calls it a hybrid tea. Antique Rose Emp calls it found. Maybe someone else knows more and can chime in. Annie...See MoreRant - I'm so angry I can't even talk to my husband
Comments (47)Almost 31 years of marriage with his and hers ranting. I learned it from my husband. We never even had a thought about not being married to each other. My hubby just vents that way, but if he doesn't stop within a few minutes, then it is my turn. Then it stops! Some people have a dry sense of humor. Some are trying to make jokes and be funny when they post. That is their sense of humor. It doesn't mean they can't have a rational and meaningful conversation with the other person in their life. Geez, let's lighten up! I doubt the OP is seriously angry with hubby. My mom's going to kill me! I'm so hungry I could eat a horse! I'm so angry I can't talk to my husband! Back to the backsplash tile hunt..... before I pull my hair out! (Another one.)...See MoreI'm so hoping this rose is Souvenir de Pierre Notting.
Comments (22)Thank you so much, Lisa and Dr. Manners. I think the question has been answered definitively by Dr. Manners and Cydney at Rose Petals. I did put in a new order for another SdPN and Cyd is going to pick a blooming one to be sure, an Arcadia Louisiana Tea, a Tamalpais Tea, and Anna Jung. I was afraid to ask her for more recommendations, for fear of what would happen. I brought up the heat, and she said she could delay shipping, but with the three day air service, I just went for next Monday shipping. It's hot in Florida and it's hot here, so it will probably be fine. I'll pot them in 2 gal pots to stay in my warm alcove over the winter while they size up. I'm also getting a Suzanne and Raubritter from High Country Roses this week too, so wish me luck. Thank you all for your help....See MoreHalloBlondie (zone5a) Ontario, Canada
