Need Help Identifying A Lemon Variety
Comments (0)Hello everyone! This is my first post and I'm excited to see if anyone knows what kind of Lemon variety I have. My girlfriend got a few lemons from a relative and they were huge! She planted the seeds at her old house about 4-5 years ago and moved from there about 2 years ago. We snuck in to her old development to see how the tree was doing and low and behold, it was producing tons of fruit with HUGE lemons. I was able to borrow one (we knocked on the door but nobody answered) and since we had snuck into her development in the first place, I decided to be bad and took one of the lemons. I know, bad, but at least I tried knocking on the door! (and she planted it after all) Anyways, the tree is about 12-15 feet tall now and I wanted to plant the seeds from the lemon I got. I would love to know the variety of the lemon so I can grow and take care of it optimally. I have attached a pic. The lemon is about 5 inches long and is supposed to get even bigger (huge lemon) Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!...See MoreNeed help Identifying this fig variety
Comments (8)Not sure, but as fignut pointed out about the 'scalloped' leaves (aka serrated, saw-tooth like edges?), I do have a Verte fig specimen that has that. Just went out to check. Older leaves (bottom) are smaller 3 lobed and highly serrated. Younger leaves (top) are much bigger and much less serrated but also showing signs of 5 lobes?! Sorry no fruit yet...
