Comments (8)Soft close glides and hinges; 170 degree opening hinges except where doors are blocked from opening past 110 degrees (we've been told they are better hinges and they allow doors to open out of your way fully). Full extension drawer glides. Adjustable shelves and pull-outs are good. I don't know that I'll want to adjust mine in the future, but during the "putting stuff away phase," we did need to have some pull-outs moved so they could accomodate certain items (same with the shelves, but I did those myself along the way). Pull-outs under the sink. Shallow lipped pull-out at the top of the pantry for short cans and jars. Wood (tiered) insert for spice drawer if you'll have such a drawer. See the thread re: storing a large amt of spices. "Found" space, often in an island, behind other cabs or drawer banks. Cabs and drawers are often standard depths (from front to back), even in semi-custom and custom cabs. In our 30" wide island, we had 6" deep by 27" wide or so "dead" space behind the drawer bank on the opposite side of the island, and another 6" deep by about 15 or 18" wide space. Comments (19)With any luck I will be sitting at the Hyundai dealer in White Plains while my car is being fixed. Yesterday the alternator failed while I was driving on Interstate 95 in Connecticut. DD, who lives in Manhattan, had to rent a car and come out to rescue me from where I had been towed. Comments (15)Ok, so this morning, I took a deep breath, and I pruned my tree. I gave it a good watering last night, and once again just after I pruned it. I hope I did it right. I cut that one limb I had tagged, making sure to do it at an angle, and the end of the branch just below it, too to keep with the shape I want. I then apologized to my tree, went inside, put the cuttings in water, and started to bawl like an idiot... Sigh. . Good news is, my neighbor, who is a plants and trees and all flowers of the world fanatic, is going to pick them up later this morning and try to root them. He has the hormone and everything. Don't know if it will work, but at least it will give those limbs a chance. . . . Today was supposed to be FP day, should I abstain on the tree I pruned, or not? . Comments (64)To be clear, there are first tier, second tier and third tier medical schools. They do not all ”teach the same thing” or even teach the same way. To pass the medical boards the same knowledge is required, but the passing grade is lower than you would expect (across all specialties, including internal medicine— which is a specialty) because of the sheer volume of information covered. Students who attend top tier medical schools have a higher pass rate. Some boards can be taken multiple times. I personally know a physician who took his boards five times. He was personable and everyone liked him. He went to a decent school. His outcomes were not the best, and obviously none of his patients knew he had failed his written boards four times. When people say ”I have confidence in my doctor” they are really saying they like the doctor and that “confidence” is usually based on nothing more than a friend’s recommendation, not any kind of information or evidence....See Moreamylou321

I slept all day because I work tonight but I am wearing a pink shirt, pink sandals, and I rocked my pink heart sunglasses. (None of which are unusual for me anyway)
